Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I honestly couldn't recommend an internship at Gymshark more. I had the best year of my life, met so many amazing people, learnt and developed so much over the year.
I had a really good relationship with me team and manager, who put my development at the forefront, which allowed me to get involved in more than I expected. Within the first few months I was leading my own projects which impacted important parts of the business - such as our new retail store of Regents Street in London!
I was also encouraged to get to know people outside of the team and learn about other roles within the business, which has been really useful and set me up well when thinking about what I want to do after university.
I strongly encourage everyone to work apply for an internship at Gymshark, you won't regret it!

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I was given more responsibility than I expected, and earlier than I expected as well. It was really encouraging to be trusted with important projects by my team, and fast tracked my development!

Absolutely, in addition to learn the skills required for my role, I have also developed my soft skills which are vital when working within a business such as Gymshark.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I was given as more support as I needed. At the start of the year, I was given more support and guidance as I was still learning the role. But as I got more comfortable with the role, I was allowed to be more independent which was great!

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture is what sets Gymshark a part from other companies. Obviously not business it perfect, but it does feel like a family and I made so many friends outside of my team that I am still in contact with.
