Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Assist the content sales business of NBCU. Interns are a crucial part of the team and work on a wide variety of important projects, such as performance analysis of TV/Film content, generation of insights that feed directly into strategic business decisions, and support for the sales of major series and movies to broadcasters and digital platforms.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

We were treated as data analysts, being given more responsibility throughout the internship as our skills developed.

I had a great manager who I could turn to if I needed support on my work. There were 4 interns on the team, so we could also help each other.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

There is a good company culture within the company's employee resource groups. Since it's an American company, team structures can feel quite hierarchal and the companies political stance has been disheartening.
