Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

-Taking ownership of designated reporting including forecasting costs and revenues of films, ensuring up to date and accurate information is available to the relevant team in a timely manner
- Conduct commercial analysis and create KPI dashboards to evaluate Film Box Office performance, that will be used to inform business decisions.
- Supporting the team with month and quarter end tasks as required as well as ad hoc project work
- Liaising with international finance / non-finance departments, including senior stakeholders and providing financial system support in the Purchase to pay process

A lot, which I enjoyed as it allowed me to grow in my role quickly.

I have learnt loads of new skills. Even just being in a work environment and learning how to complete different tasks that relate to the industry as well as the role is very interesting. I have also massively developed my existing skills!

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received a great amount of support, whether it was from my manager and team or if it was with the early careers team. I had weekly catch ups with my manager where we spoke through my work load for the week and other bits and bobs. Additionally we had a 3 week handover with the previous intern in my role and they wrote out notes as well for me.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The culture is great! The company is an amazing place to work with great people working here. The general atmosphere is very happy and a positive place to be.
