Post Production Intern Review

I work within the UPI Dubroom, which is responsible for localising creative theatrical assets. Day to day, I assist in the smooth daily operation of a very busy post-production facility. I also worked closely alongside the department’s IO group; jointly responsible for all media assets stored and used within the facility in London.

I was given more responsibility than I expected to get in my role. I found this level of responsibility manageable and allowed me to learn a lot more.

Within my internship, I received Adobe After Effects training offsite, to further develop my creative editing skills. Alongside this, I received training from my team and spent more time developing the skills I learned at University.

My team was extremely helpful in providing guidance to better my experience. There was never a time within my experience where I felt unsupported by my team or line manager.

The general atmosphere of my team was very positive and welcoming. If I was struggling professionally or personally, they were always there to support me. The company as a whole, had many social opportunities that allowed me to connect with other teams and further my relationships within my direct team.

I really enjoyed my internship, it taught me a lot about the industry as well as myself. I was able to learn more about what I look for in a company as well as the position I want to hold in my future endeavours.
