Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

This role involves analysing TV data across linear, SVOD, and AVOD using a range of different secondary data sources. Using this data, we formulate insights for the TV distribution sales team and AVOD business.

You come in with little to no knowledge of the software used and finish the placement knowing them well. The research team encourage you to develop your knowledge in SQL, dashboard development, and other skills related to data analysis.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed my role and was lovely being a part of the NBCU community. The intern community was also a highlight and everyone is very social with each other.

What advice would you give to others applying to NBCUniversal

If you have an interest in film and TV, I'd make sure to let that shine through during the application process. You don't need to know much about the technical things before joining as that is taught throughout the year.
