Finance Intern (Hayu and EMEA Networks) Review

FP&A:
- Supporting the team to deliver detailed and accurate financial estimates for budget and forecasting purposes
- Data analysis to support the team including subscriber analysis and foreign exchange tracking through the use of Tableau, Excel & Retool
- Supporting the Senior FP&A analyst with PO raising and invoice approvals for the marketing team
- Training on PO raising and invoice approvals to the wider business
- Management of music royalties budget and varianceanalysis, as well as relationship with Footprint
- Monitor and report Travel & Entertainment spend against budget
- Collaborate with Creative department reflect budget allocation with focus areas and stay abreast of opportunities with AI
- Preparing materials used by wider Hayu and Networks team, such as subscriber tracking
- Ad hoc analysis work
Controllership:
- Open PO review/maintenance including analysing costs vs budget as necessary
- Preparing reporting to music collection societies and assist with month-end accruals
- Assist with Accounts Payable queries, i.e. vendor details or invoice processes

Yes - I was given autonomy on Music License Fees, Account Payables (Purchase Orders, Invoices, Vendors), Month-End Analysis on some P&L lines.

Yes - I have gained confidence in presenting in front of senior staff, analytical skills and improved teamwork and communication

I had a lot of support and guidance from my team, I felt like I could easily ask them questions if I needed any help.

I think everyone is super friendly.

I enjoyed my placement, I think what I have learnt and the people I have met during this job makes it rewarding. There has been challenges but I think its part of the experience.
