Finance Intern Review

The Global Finance Operations Record to Report (RTR) Intern supports the delivery and day-to-day execution of the Record to Report function within the International scope (mainly Europe) including general ledger accounting, monthly close, account reconciliations and various other processes perform by both onshore (NBCU) and offshore (BPO in India) teams. The Record to Report Intern supports the highest level of customer service to the end user business unit who rely on the accuracy and timeliness of the information provided. The RTR Intern may also support key finance transformation initiatives.

I have a lot of responsibility as my manager works in a different country to me so I have to be resilient and adaptable and make my own decisions. I also have to decide when to prioritise each task based on importance and deadlines.

My digital skills have improved significantly as I use excel everyday as well as other softwares such as SAP, Blackline, Power Bi. I have developed my resilience and adaptability by growing in confidence and making my own decisions.

A lot of support and guidance. We have weekly one-on-ones with our managers to discuss ongoing projects and progress. This helps keep track of ongoing projects and progress and we also had a 6 month review to look at what we want to achieve over the final 6 months.

Great company culture and atmosphere around the office. Everyone has a positive attitude and is very nice. Relaxed dress code so everyone feels comfortable with what they are wearing. Company culture focuses on individual development and sees employees as humans rather than assets.

I enjoyed it as much as possible, made the most of it by attending events such as film screenings and panels. Enjoyed learning about my role and gaining knowledge of the industry and company. Enjoyed working with colleagues and meeting new people.
