Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Acorn Insurance and Financial Services?
My experience at Acorn has been really great. The people working at Acorn are very friendly, willing to help others. The organisation provides the platform and opportunity to learn and grow, while also focusing on delivering high quality services to customers.
The leadership and management are very people conscious and aware and allows flexibility for usual life outcomes that affects people.
The people who work in the organisation generally feel confidence about their job security, as the managers always support people to be better rather than being punitive. This is very important in a work environment as this keeps your mental health and wellbeing in a good place.
The promotion of great mental health wellbeing is a huge aspect of the company's culture, there's always support available and managers always check on people to ensure they are alright.
The office spaces are located at easy to access locations, spacious and aesthetically pleasing.
Our offices are opened planned, giving everyone access to meet up and learn from anyone within the hierarchy of the organisation. This promotes motivation and encourages personal development and growth.
We get free fresh fruits, soft and hots drinks in the office and sometimes food too. I mean the experience is great working at my organisation.
When the people in an organisation are good people willing to support and help each other, there's nothing that cannot be achieved. And these are the kind of people that work at Acorn. There's a lot more to say about my organisation in respect to customers and other aspect but will stop here to complete this late submission.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I started as a customer service adviser. I enjoyed the training to start my role, attending to customer queries. Supporting customers to get best outcomes, meeting their needs and desires. All our systems and processes are user friendly and we were trained sufficiently for the role, and support is available daily online and physically when required.
Then I got the opportunity to get into IT in Software testing. Again the systems we use are very user friendly system, making to easy to transition into a different teams.
A few responsibilities in the role includes testing our various software products before there are released to the customers and clients.
I enjoy the current tools we use and working with the great, supportive and funny people.
