Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work for admin and we deal with all sorts of customer service queries including escalation of complaints, general service to policies, finance queries, and cancellation of policies.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The apprenticeship through Acorn has been great in improving my knowledge, and being able to share this wider knowledge with the rest of my team but also to be more confident in providing customers with more detailed information. The apprenticeship has also allowed me to gain more confidence and put myself forward for further opportunities within the business.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

The apprenticeship has improved my communication skills, active listening, problem solving skills, attention to detail, and strengthened my ability to collaborate with others.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

The structure has been good overall. There's been a few hiccups with the training provider not with Acorn directly especially during the onboarding process.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive constant support from my employer. Any concerns I have are never a problem and we will always work together to find a solution.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I've had additional support to support my through my final exam as no revision workshops were being held for my exam unit. I've also received a lot of support in starting my end point assessment portfolio and project.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think it's been nothing but positive for my day to day role. It's allowed me to confidently deal with complex queries consistently as well as come up with my own solution to then bring this to my manager/team leader for approval/authorisation.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

yes there's often opportunities for social events, fundraising events etc
