Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

5/5
As the Digital Education Lead at NEAS, my role centres on embedding effective digital learning solutions across the organisation to support workforce development and patient care. I lead on the design and delivery of statutory and mandatory training, ensuring it is accessible, engaging, and aligned with organisational and regulatory requirements.
On a day-to-day basis, I develop and implement Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL) approaches, including eLearning modules, educational videos, and simulation-based training. This includes exploring immersive technologies to enhance realism and learner engagement, particularly for clinical scenarios. I work closely with subject matter experts to create high-quality digital content and ensure it meets learning objectives.
I also support staff in using digital platforms effectively, monitor the impact of training through data and feedback, and continuously improve learning experiences to ensure they remain relevant, efficient, and impactful.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme to a great extent. It provides a valuable opportunity to reflect on my practice, develop my leadership in digital education, and apply new knowledge directly to my role at NEAS. The content is relevant and supports my work in areas such as technology-enhanced learning, simulation, and the development of engaging digital training.
I particularly value the balance between theory and practical application, as it allows me to implement improvements in statutory and mandatory training, eLearning, and immersive learning approaches. Overall, I find the programme both engaging and beneficial to my professional development.

Through the programme, I have both developed existing skills and gained new ones that directly support my role as Digital Education Lead at NEAS. I have strengthened my ability to design and evaluate Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL), particularly in creating engaging eLearning, educational videos, and simulation-based training.
I have also developed skills in using immersive learning approaches, applying learning design principles more effectively, and using data to evaluate the impact of digital training, especially within statutory and mandatory programmes. In addition, my leadership and strategic thinking have improved, enabling me to better support staff, influence digital adoption, and align educational initiatives with organisational priorities.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
