My Role focused on support, maintaining and developing digital learning content and systems across the business. Ensuring courses are up to date, accessible and aligned with organisational and regulatory requirements.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

My programme enabled me to apply what i had learnt into my day-to-day work. I enjoyed developing my understanding of learning design, engagement and wider L&D function and how this enables businesses to function. Throughout the course, it widely enabled me to develop my skills and confidence in my abilities as an L&D Person.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Mostly everything i do in my job and my apprenticeship was fresh as i had not been in L&D before. Apart from my tech background, i had never looked into learning as a career or into the specifics. I brought a lot of skills that i used but also learnt just as many skills to enable me to progress my career.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme was very well structured and was well suited as a teaching style that i am used to. The instructor led 1-on-1's were ideal for me and allowed me to get a lot of information from those sessions. All the modules were in a great order that did not make you feel overwhelmed with information whilst also learning and retaining alot.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Throughout my apprenticeship i received a lot of support from my managers and colleagues. Whether it was finding an activity to do my OTJ hours that week, making space for me to take part in an activity they were doing or just general help with my coursework. The business supported me in making the most of my apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider was very helpful in making changes to our sessions due to personal reasons. Whether that was delaying or giving learning breaks, they ensured i had the support i needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Without the qualification, i would not have the ability to perform at all in my role. Everything i learnt from my qualification enabled me to be able to do all my tasks to the needs of the organisation. This is not something i could do without first learning the abilities needed to be in L&D.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes
Why?
PHOENIX is a good place for a career change or to start a career. They regularly pay above apprenticeship wage which is a good mix of good pay and learning at the same time. They also have a great apprenticeship person Sue who will help with any apprenticeship queries you may have.
