Support the design and implementation of a single managed service across University Hospitals Bristol and Weston (UHBW) and North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT). This role forms part of the Group People Offering Programme, a key element of the transformation to a Bristol NHS Group model.
Leads the delivery of a complex portfolio of workstreams, aligning Learning and Workforce Development services across both Trusts. The role focuses on programme management, organisational change, and governance to ensure the effective delivery of sustainable services, improved staff experience, and enhanced patient care.
Key areas of responsibility include:
• Programme and project management of a single service within Learning and Development.
• Governance and reporting to programme boards, senior forums, and executive stakeholders.
• Strategic alignment of Learning and Workforce Development processes across both organisations.
• Stakeholder engagement and relationship management with senior leadership, internal teams, and external partners.
• Promoting a culture of collaboration and “one team” working across a diverse, dispersed workforce.

I had a mentor, and our apprenticeship relationships manager also supported me. I also had some personal issues during the programme, and my employer went above and beyond to support me.

They provided feedback and plenty of opportunities to get support from our skills assessors.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It's an essential role qualification that is a passport for me to progress in HR. I am really happy to have achieved this.
