I helped with project documentation and some bid proposals. This often involved research and writing.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

My line manager encouraged me to take ownership of work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I learnt to work with Revit, and improved my presentation and written documentation skills. I gained a better understanding of project phases and of engineering disciplines. My line manager creatively used the opportunities on offer so that I could contribute value and learn.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I very much enjoyed learning and benefitted from the technical excellence demonstrated locally and made available across the group. However, the opportunities on offer to me as a trainee architect in this location were more limited than I expected.
