as an early years educator i help support children’s learning, development and wellbeing. things i do on a day to day basis are plan tailored engaging activities, create an inclusive and safe environment and i also build strong positive bonds with parents, colleagues and the children.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

i’m really enjoying it and i get to learn new things everyday. i’ve got to meet new people and its help me come out of my comfort zone a lot.

i often come to my manager for help when i need it and she is good at supporting me and offering the help i need.

a lot she is always there through either messages or when we call. she offers suggestions which may help as well as answering my questions which helps.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Hungry Caterpillar Day Nurseries?

if you doing an apprenticeship make sure you stay on top of your work as it helps further down the line and try and get as many otjl hours when it’s possible
