Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

working 40 hour week as well as having coursework to do. during the day having o set up activities doing jobs which are shared around the room with other staff which inludes nappies and setting up for meal time, cleaning up. doing observations.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

it was good got to learn a lot, balancing being at work with the coursework was challenging.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

learnt many new skills the most important skill i had improved on was my communication. first time being in a work space, learning how to have good communication with staff, children and well as parents.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

was hard at first getting used to using the website for the coursework but it was well organised when i got used to using it. as well as the meetings that were booked making sure they were monthly.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

i always felt comfortable to talk to my managers if i had any questions and received the support but i would have wanted more time to do coursework while being at work as it is hard to balance.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

was always able to ask questions and go through my work with them and getting feedback for it.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

they always made me feel as if i could speak to them and was always able to ask questions.

i believe that hungry caterpillars is great to work at everyone is supportive and i have really enjoyed my time here.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Hungry Caterpillar Day Nurseries?

as an apprentice i have done my coursework so my advice to other appentices would be to keep up with the work and not let it pile up because its really hard to get it all done at the end of it. keep on top of off the job hours.
