Tackle a broad range of engineering applied problems and jobs from clients/contractors. Engage in a full team work centred environment.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
A good amount. You are expected to manage your time and jobs you are working on yourself and be capable of being independent where it matters. Saying this, one of the biggest skills needed in this job is to be able to ask for help when it matters, which can cover anything you could possibly need. You are treated no different to any other employee.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Being exposed to a true engineering environment, I have picked up the ability to better work with colleagues and manage my own work lifestyle, these are skills I already had to a strong extent but working at Mott Macdonald only seemed to grow them.

Plenty, from my personal tutor to line manager, everyone made it 100% clear that I was not alone and that everyone in that office was there to help if needed.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Very friendly and professional. I didn't know what to expect from the environment in a highly decorated engineering firm but it exceeded my expectations.
