My role on a day-to-day basis includes a range of advisory work and substation-related technical tasks.

Definitely, I am currently fully responsible for delivering a significant portion of my team’s main monthly outputs, alongside managing a wide range of projects and tasks simultaneously.

I have received a great support from my team, my assigned buddy, and my line manager. I have also benefited from guidance from colleagues and experienced engineers across different teams, who have created a supportive environment where I feel comfortable asking questions and learning from feedback, both professionally, technically, and personally.

The company culture is very supportive, collaborative, and inclusive. There is a strong emphasis on teamwork, with colleagues across different levels and teams always willing to offer guidance and share knowledge. The general atmosphere is professional yet friendly, creating a comfortable environment for asking questions and learning. I have found it to be a positive and encouraging workplace where interns are trusted with responsibility and supported in their development.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement. It has been a very rewarding experience, both professionally and personally, as I have been able to take on meaningful responsibilities, contribute to real projects, and develop a wide range of skills.
