Product Marketing Review

I work in the Insurance and Aftersales Service Plan section. My role involves maintaining assets as well as briefing when ever there is a change. I work closely with an external stakeholder called McCann. This is where I check through and creative artwork.

Yes there was a few opportunities to take responsibility. I was made project lead for project for Rent a Car which is something I don't work in but it was a good opportunity.

I have developed my communication skills as well as my professionalism. I have improved my skill of adaptability as I was finding it really hard at the start of my placement where I had moved to a completely new city, had no friends and a 9-5 job.

My support was good as I had a 1-2-1 with my manager every week. As well as this the HR lady who deals with undergrads was nice to chat to and felt like I was listened to when I had some worries and anxiety.

The company culture was really good. There were some great people I have met. I like that it is very flexible and not a strict dress code. People seem relaxed and like human beings rather than serious and robotic. People have chats and jokes which makes coming in a little easier. I also like how its very mixed ethnicity

I think my role was not portrayed as what it actually contains so I think it was a little hard to adjust to after realising that I really don't enjoy my work. I've found it really hard to adjust and come into work motivated this is why I have done a lot of extra curricular activities to keep me motivated and productive.
