Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
On a day-to-day basis, this involves a mix of administrative and practical tasks. I assist with creating and distributing call sheets, updating production schedules, and maintaining accurate records such as contributor forms, contracts, and release paperwork. I also help coordinate travel, accommodation, and equipment bookings for cast and crew, while tracking expenses and supporting the production budget.
During filming, I support the team by helping to coordinate shoot days, ensuring everyone is where they need to be and that plans run efficiently. This can involve problem-solving on the spot and keeping production documentation up to date. I also act as a point of communication between different departments, helping to keep everyone informed.
In post-production, I assist with organising paperwork and footage, liaising with editors, and supporting the delivery process to ensure all content meets required standards. As an apprentice, I am continuously learning industry practices, developing my organisational and communication skills, and taking on increasing responsibility within the team.

Recommendations & Advice
Would you recommend BBC to a friend?
Why?
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BBC?
I would also recommend highlighting strong organisational and communication skills, as these are essential in most production roles. Being proactive, reliable, and willing to learn are key qualities that employers look for, so try to give examples that show these traits.
Additionally, gaining any relevant experience, even if it is small or informal, can be really helpful. This could include volunteering, student projects, or any work that shows teamwork and responsibility.
Finally, take time with your application, tailor it carefully, and make sure it is clear and well-structured. Showing attention to detail and a positive attitude can make a strong impression.
