Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I complete CAE analyses and reports on structural components, by using different toolsets that simulate loads and analyse factors like fatigue
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoy my programme currently with my placement team and I am glad I did this apprenticeship over university, however this experience is entirely dependent on the team you are with.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt so many new skills and techniques that are all used in industry, such of the use of CAD and CAE software and theories and concepts that apply to engineering through university

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The programme is decently well organised, however there are flaws in the way you are put in a random team with no choice of the team you are going into - moving teams is extremely difficult, however there is an abundance of placement opportunities, where you can develop new skills in other areas of the business.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My manager and early careers leads are all very supportive - I feel like I can go to them with anything
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
My DA tutor supports me through tripartite meetings and makes me feel supported and prepared for my EPA
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Currently being in my second year, I believe that my qualification helps me understand the context behind different techniques at work more than anything, but I would say most of my learning has been on the job
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
YES - There is a wide variety of events and sports that you can get involved with
