The JLR apprenticeship in modelmaking provided me with many skills and helped me develop my knowledge in making concept cars
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

the college course was very enjoyable and taught me a lot of skills within the course of 2 years whilst i was at college such as electrical wiring, welding, automotive mechanics and sheet metal fabrication

Absolutely, any existing skills have been improved exponentially and I have learned and developed a vast variety of skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

there was some lack of communication between the employer and the college but individually, i found that the jobs and work we were set out was very well structured.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

if support is needed then the employer is very easy to contact and they will provide the support they can as soon as possible.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

the college was very helpful with giving me extra support to ensure that i had assignments and projects handed in on time and any extensions needed were given within reason.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

the training provider taught me many skills that were then developed more in my line of work.

its a wonderful place to work where you can be in a team of very skilled people and learn from them, and its a very secure and stable job, there are people here that joined as apprentices and have worked here their entire working life.
