Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

5/5
my role consists of being a BA on projects and being the point of contact for stakeholders and the team, it involves requirements, leading stakeholder meetings, contacting stakeholders, setting agendas for the meetings.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

5/5
I have really enjoyed my degree apprenticeship so far, I'm enjoying learning my role and getting to expand my knowledge as well as getting to know different people and grow my network. I enjoy working as well as the university side and going up to uni every 2 months, so I have a good balance, which is manageable.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

4/5
I have developed many skills such as my communication skills, confidence, organisational skills, my time management, leadership skills, which will support in the growth of my BA career.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

5/5
The programme at Capgemini is very structured and means i have a good work/life balance. I'm enjoying shadowing and getting to learn my role whilst also completing university assignments during the week, which helps to balance both.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
My employer is very supportive and ensures I am supported and have everything I need to grow in my career. Having a people manager is really good as it means I get constant support and advice on how I can step up in my career and get involved in different things within the business.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

5/5
Sheffield Hallam is very supportive and ensures we have everything we need to be able to do our assignments. We have points of contacts in case of any queries and we have monthly APR meetings which are check-ins ensuring we are well and managing work and uni, which means I feel very supported and am able to complete my degree work to my highest standard.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

5/5
The university assignments really help within my role as they are based on Capgemini, therefore it gives me a chance to grow my network and find out more about the business, which helps me to get involved in different things.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

5/5
There are a variety of social events and we have an E&ET community which is for the graduates and apprentices that hold social events, recently we've been bowling and played crazy golf which was good. There are also social value opportunities and many volunteering activities to get involved in. Currently I'm taking part in Lego League which has been a good way to meet different people and work with a school in the community.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Capgemini to a friend?

Yes

Why?

Capgemini is really supportive and is such a good and recognised company to work for. The apprentice and graduate schemes are so good too because its a good way to start a career with getting a degree, and having the chance to work full time and get involved within different opportunities. I would highly recommend this as its improved my confidence and skills, which will support me in the future.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?

I'd say researching the company is really important and knowing key information such as the core values. I think also selling yourself and sharing your previous experiences is good as it shows your like to get involved in different things, which Capgemini promotes.
