Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at Capgemini?
My experience has been very positive. I originally started off joining as a graduate. 3-4 years in I was given a rare opportunity to study a masters apprenticeship (MSc Digital Technology Solution Specialist) due to my work performance and effort where I continuously exceed at my grade. Therefore my experience at Capgemini has been positive where I have always been give opportunities for support and growth of my career.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
The great thing about Capgemini is that you can try various roles. Within technology, there are many roles such as a Business Analysts, Data Analysts, Data Engineer. These have been really great to give a foundation of each area where you get to learn new skills and use them in a client sitting. I currently have a role as a Data Architect, where I assess technological solution designs, create plans and handle anything that is technical. I really enjoy this as it involves a lot of problem solving, which is what I excel in. I use this skill a lot to solve our clients problems which have been noticed who have regarded me as an SME.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

My team especially project lead continuously praise the work I create. They work together to ensure I am getting the opportunities on areas I would like to develop in and areas I enjoy doing. I tend to have more a leadership, technical role which has always been entrusted to me due to the fact I can deliver. The team and the client see me as a reliable asset to the team.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

Perks & benefits include healthcare services that are available for employees to use which is useful if you require healthcare support. I use the Gymflex benefit which has been helpful for me as I am a regular gym user, so having gymflex allows me to save money.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

I am currently enrolled in a masters digital technology solutions specialist where the specialisation path is towards my career as an Architect. There is also an architect community where I get to learn tips, advice from too.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

There is opportunity for formal training courses/communities with safe spaces to practice and implement your learnings (such as presentations) which I have participated in.
