Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

When you first start, you’ll be assigned to an operative who will teach you the basics of plumbing. For approximately 3 months you’ll be shadowing this operative, then after 3 months you’ll change operative. As time goes on, you’ll develop confidence and experience. Most operatives you are assigned to will allow you to take the lead on jobs, which will develop your confidence further. You will always have the support you need.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Very hands on, everyone is very helpful. As long as you show initiative to learn and better yourself, everyone at the company will want to see the best for you and will help you.

There were some complications with the apprenticeship team and the college apprenticeship team in terms of communication. other than that no issues

Both apprenticeship managers are so helpful. they want the best for all apprentices.

it’s all hands on, you get everything you need in order to complete your course.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

as it’s mostly maintenance plumbing there’s only so much you can learn. if there was more of an on site experience, it would be good

Do your research into Hackney. The councils slogan is “ Working for better homes”, so find make it your all to support the council in achieving this.
