Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is edit assistant, I help with organising footage and assets, then distribute it to editors and writers. I also help build the backbone of each episode with software such as Avid.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

4/5
The combination of my hands on job in the TV industry and my remote learning that is focussed more on social media provides a good balance,

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
I have learned a lot in this role, as I have never worked a job in TV before. It has taught me a lot of technical skills, particularly in Avid, as well as general work ethic, working in the production pipeline, and working in a high pressure environment.

I am quite independent, but I know if I ever need support, it is easily accessible and well networked.

5/5
Regular sessions and progress reviews, I know I can email my tutor at any time.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

3/5
It is quite different from my role, but it has given me some perspective in terms of other aspects of the company and how I can help in those.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There a lot's of apprenticeship social nights and networking events available.
