Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Digital/marketing associate on team in the London office, day-to-day consists of aligning with all team leads and focus on events, strategic planning etc

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Really enjoying the role so far, lots of opportunities available and a very present and active talent team that ensures we are developing properly and getting what we was promised of the programme at the start. The uni side is really fun especially as it’s in person so get to see other apprentices

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Main skills are definitely communication in a corporate setting, networking. Many more to come still early on in the programme

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Compared to a lot of programmes or other apprentices I’ve spoken to Samsung is the most structured one I’ve seen with rules put in place specifically for apprentices that ensure our growth

How much support do you receive from your employer?

From the direct employer ( Samsung electronics) we get a lot of training sessions and opportunities to speak to the talent team to communicate any issues and any positives

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training providers are very hands on, apart from having to come in once a week, just having a skills coach we can reach out to and a team dedicated to apprentices really helps

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Lots of things you take from uni you can apply to work sometimes, also vice versa sometimes work helps me perform better in my lectures

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Lots of social networks even outside of Samsung! But within, there are quite a few I would say some might not be to everyone’s liking but deffo lots of opportunities
