Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

5/5
My role as a Learning & Development Business Partner is to support the business by helping people learn, grow and perform better in their roles.
On a day-to-day basis, I work with managers to understand their team’s needs, design or organise training and development activities, and deliver sessions such as inductions or leadership programmes. I also support employees with learning tools and programmes, work with external training providers, and make sure everything runs smoothly.
Alongside this, I review feedback and training data to see what is working well and where improvements can be made, and I share updates with stakeholders. Overall, my role is to make sure learning supports both employee development and business goals.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

5/5
I have really enjoyed the programme, especially as I’ve progressed towards my EPA. There have been lots of “lightbulb” moments where things have clicked, and I’ve been able to clearly see how the learning applies to my role in practice. It has helped me build confidence, deepen my understanding of L&D, and apply new ideas in a meaningful way within the business.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
Yes, I have both learnt new skills and developed existing ones. I’ve strengthened my communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly when working with managers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate solutions. I’ve also developed my ability to think more strategically, linking learning initiatives to business goals rather than focusing only on delivery.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

5/5
The programme is well organised and structured, with a clear framework that guides learning and progression. The content is broken down into manageable sections, making it easier to stay on track alongside work commitments.
There is a good balance between theory and practical application, which helps reinforce learning. At times, balancing deadlines with work can be challenging, but overall the structure supports steady development and builds confidence towards the EPA.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

5/5
I receive full support from my employer. They provide me with the time, resources, and encouragement needed and they are supportive of my development alongside my role. I feel confident asking for guidance when needed, and there is a strong focus on helping me succeed and apply my learning in practice.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

5/5
I receive full support from my training provider. They provide clear guidance, regular check-ins, and helpful feedback, which has been especially valuable when working towards my qualifications. I feel well supported throughout the process and confident in reaching out whenever I need clarification or advice.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

5/5
I feel that my qualification has supported my performance in my role very well. It has given me a stronger understanding of L&D principles and helped me take a more structured and strategic approach to my work.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

5/5
Yes, there are plenty of extra-curricular activities to get involved in at work. Initiatives that bring people together across the business. It’s a great way to build relationships, get involved in the wider company culture and connect with colleagues outside of day-to-day work.
