Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

4/5
As a Workforce Development Officer, I design, deliver and coordinate education and development programmes to support newly appointed Healthcare Assistants (HCA I) to the Trust. My role includes leading the delivery and completion of the Care Certificate, ensuring all standards are met within required timeframes and in line with national and Trust requirements. I provide ongoing pastoral and educational support to learners, creating a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes confidence, wellbeing and professional development. I work closely with clinical teams, assessors and educators to ensure patient safety, high‑quality care and robust educational standards are maintained at all times. In addition, I support the delivery of other training and development initiatives as identified by senior staff, contributing to workforce capability, retention and the wider Trust workforce strategy.
