Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a day to day basis, I am a sales advisor for Superdrug. I serve customers in the tills, assist them with finding products that they need, I put out stock on shelves, I promote own brand products to customers good alternatives, and pick and pack orders for customers.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy this programme very much. I feel as tho it meets my needs and expectations, and has begun to hep me in planning for my future roles and career.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many new skills whilst working at Superdrug on my aprentiship. I have learnt how to use tills, work delivery shifts, work on promotional nights for the store. As well as this, it has also helped me to learn new personal skills such as confidence, an improved knowledge base on products, and helped me with my customer service skills.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I feel as though this programme is very structured and organised, which allows me to carry out my tasks for the day effectively and efficiently, however there are times when I may not get a chance to do my two hours of online work upstairs due to how busy the shop can get. Despite this, I and my employer always make sure that I make up the time the following week.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer and other employees when the need arises. I can ask them to print of informational sheets I may need, as well as ask them for help on certain tasks if I am confused or need assistance.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive lots of support from my training provider when working towards my qualifications. She is always very willing to help and answer any questions I have about my work. She is also very supportive in my training, and provides me with corrections where needed, to help me learn from my mistakes and progress in this apprenticeship.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel as though my qualification is helping me to perform better in my role as I am learning about all the different aspects in the job, which is increasing my knowledge base as a sales advisors and helping me to gain my qualification.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There aren’t many extra-curricular activities to get involved in at work, however there are some professional networking events that members of management can go to, but not many for just sales advisors. Our own sales advisors do throw parties for Christmas and certain birthdays as a form of social activities for everyone.

I would recommend Superdrug to a friend as the team is very friendly and supportive. They also provide you with effective training from management, as well as from your own team members that can make your work days better.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Superdrug?
Being friendly, positive and having a good work ethic is very important when working at Superdrug due to the high volume of customers during periods in the year.
