Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Role is an applications consultant within the procurement/purchasing sector. In my day to day role i join daily stand up meetings which ensure the whole team are aware of any new updates for the day and that we are on track with project. The rest of the day i work on incident management, resolving technical/functional issues raised by the clients. As well as this I'm also involved in quarterly regression and system testing, ensuring the tests are successful and the UX has no bugs in order for the users to use their platform effectively.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the programme to a high extent as I have opportunities to do both learning and pick up skills from university and be able to apply those skill areas to the workplace

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Soft skills have been majorly polished on such as problem solving, communication, public speaking, events planning. And many technical and industry relevant skills such as using various tools like Oracle Ebs, JIRA, ServiceNow, SQL.

The programme is structured in a way you understand the time line of what new modules you will be learning every year until you finish the programme.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Regular check ins are compulsory which allows us to build a rapport with out employer and voice our issues should we have any concerns and they will tailor their support to reach my needs.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Monthly check in and catchup calls are put in from both the university and workplace side meaning that we can discuss future goals and plans and have additional support achieving this.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification and module is relevant to my day o day role, it also ensures we achieve certain skills to pass within the qualification.

Capgemini has many volunteering opportunities which i love getting involved in such as Kings Trust, Ability Network, and getting involved within the business unit's events and social calls.

When applying, research the company. Ensure you know what area you would like to get into as the roles are endless whether its technical, functional, developer, engineering, cyber security, business analyst, service delivery etc.
