Absolutely love my role here at Capgemini. I am a Software Engineering Degree Apprentice, and I am currently working in a Data Engineer role, where I support the delivery of data‑driven solutions on my project. I really enjoy my role, as it allows me to apply both my academic learning and practical skills to meaningful, real‑world challenges.
On a day‑to‑day basis, my work primarily involves using Power BI to develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports that provide clear and actionable insights for stakeholders. This includes working with data sources, transforming and modelling data, and ensuring that visuals are accurate, user‑friendly, and aligned with business requirements. I regularly collaborate with team members to understand data needs, respond to feedback, and continuously improve reporting solutions.
As part of my apprenticeship, I balance hands‑on project work with ongoing learning and development.
My role requires strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences. I also take part in team meetings, stand‑ups, and reviews, where I contribute updates on my progress and learn from more experienced colleagues.

I feel that my apprenticeship programme is very well organised and well structured. The programme clearly outlines expectations and milestones, which makes it easier to plan my time effectively and balance work, study, and development.
