Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

5/5
-Pi counting
-Sales
-Warehouse/ counterbalance forklift truck
-Admin( filing, organising stock)
-Occasionally helping with route planning
-Daily fire door checks
-Branch First aider
-Create run sheets for the drivers

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

4/5
I do enjoy it, I wish that it was a little more complex. I have done similar roles in the past before coming to CCF and I find this Programme a little easy. However I understand this is my first apprenticeship and it will help me to learn the basics of how these courses work.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

5/5
I have learn a few new skills,
-becoming a first aider for the branch
-being fire marshal for the branch
-learning how to operate Wintergrate
-identifying products
-how to correctly speak to customers to ensure satisfaction

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

5/5
The structure for my programme has been a little over the place however, that is due to staff shortages in branch and not directly the programmes fault. My training provider has been really kind and helpful to ensure this course runs as smoothly as possible. My training provider has restructured the course to suit the branches need, this has led to less stress in the branch and given me extra time to work on some of the tasks.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

4/5
I have received a lot of help from various people in the office and yard, everyone has helped me as much as they can. Unfortunately with the branch being short staffed I've had to go in other roles which has slowed my development slightly. That being said recently we have been more flexible and Suzanne has undoubtably been the reason for this.

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

5/5
My training provider has been exceptional in supporting my learning, consistently going above and beyond to help me succeed. She is incredibly proactive, always offering valuable tips on assignments and introducing me to different ways of approaching my work. What really stands out is her willingness to give her time, even offering Zoom calls where I can explain my process and be recorded as evidence. Her encouragement and consistent praise in every review have had a huge impact on my confidence, helping me feel more comfortable and assured when submitting my work.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

5/5
It has helped me learn the basics of sales, and shown me areas of the business that I wouldn't of necessarily seen; like going out with drivers, visiting suppliers

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

3/5
Not really, I have been to other branches to learn from them but there are no sporting events.
