Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role as an accounting apprentice entails working in the actual and reporting team, ensuring accurate and timely billing of royalties for the radio and music team, accurately reporting revenue to aide internal and external teams, and rigorously reviewing statements.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am still at the start of m programme and I have enjoyed every moment so far. My manager and team are encouraging and supportive, and I genuinely feel I am able to work to my best potential.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My excel skills are becoming further refined, and using key software platforms such as SAP and BPC has greatly exposed me to wider data efficient processes. Regular liaising with my team has greatly improved my ability to communicate and be an active team member.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is well structured with a clear plan in place that helps me to visualize what I am working towards and where I can expect to work next.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I am always in the comfort of knowing there are multiple points of contact I can reach out to if I am feeling a little overwhelmed, or unsure about anything and need clarity. From mentor and scheme specialists and advisors, to fellow apprentices from current and previous cohorts.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider BPP are attentive and schedule regular progress reviews with a mentor as well as bi-annual coaching reviews to check in and see where we are in our progression. The support teams are quickly attentive to any email queries I have and often get back to me within the same day.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The ACCA qualification is prestigious and vital in helping me appreciate the understanding of accounting in theory and how it applies in practice.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There is a multitude of extra curricular activities offered at the BBC with regular email updates. There is always something for someone.

Why?
The BBC is an amazing place to embark on your corporate journey, and often times it does not feel corporate at all. I appreciate the collaborative and encouraging environment, filled with opportunities presented for you to thrive and be the best version of yourselves. And to know you would be making a tangible impact by contributing to the successful running of one of the worlds most iconic broadcaster, it doesn't get more fulfilling than this.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BBC?
Always be you. The BBC values authenticity above everything else.
