Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My day consists of multiple different jobs. I work on marketing and my apprenticeship for around 3 to 4 hours each day and then working in hospitality for the rest of the shift. In marketing I have natural gravitated to the graphic design and content creating side of the job. In the uni we create a lot of new menus and concepts each week and all of them require unique marketing material. This along with more admin based job such as setting up the screens for each week takes up a majority of the time. I also help put on event at the uni such as, movie nights, comedy events and more.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I think the programme has pushed me to use parts of my brain that I wouldn't expect to when I started the job. I now come into work excited and invested in the work I produce. The program and the supportive management have pushed me to aim higher in my professional career.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learn't many new skills that will not only challenged me but made me excited to learn more in the future.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My tutor changed over the course and the changeover wasn't that smooth and I was left in the dark for a month or so. Working different hours most weeks due to my other commitments in the job means I never had the chance to get a good structured work day together.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Always good at answering my questions quickly but sometimes leaves out key information about tasks or confuses the courses together.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

my skills have improved massively and I am now able to help out a lot more with other tasks I could not do before.

Just a note I am doing a level 3 course but it won't let me change it from level 2.
the opportunities that I have received have made a career in this field much more likely. before I joined compass group I wasn't sure what I wanted to do but my managers really worked hard to get help me get the point I'm at now.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Compass group?
Compass has many opportunities you might not know about so I'd say take advantage of all the things compass offer as its rare a large company has so many things is place to help people grow.
