To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my Lead Adult Care apprenticeship to a great extent. It helps me develop practical skills and understand person-centred care, safeguarding, and leadership. I can apply what I learn directly in my role, which builds my confidence. Although balancing work and coursework can be challenging, the programme is overall rewarding and supports my professional growth.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, I have developed my skills in recognising and responding to abuse and safeguarding vulnerable adults. Through the programme, I have gained a better understanding of different types of abuse, how to identify signs of harm, and the correct procedures for reporting concerns. This has increased my confidence in protecting individuals and ensuring their safety in my role.

The programme is well organised and structured, making it easy to follow and progress. My tutor has been supportive and patient in explaining everything clearly. The online learning, assignments, and OTJ (off-the-job training) have really improved my ability to apply knowledge in practice, build confidence, and develop my skills effectively.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a high level of support from my employer. My manager has provided a positive and supportive environment that allows me to apply my learning in practice. They give me opportunities for off-the-job training, guide me when needed, and encourage my development. I also feel comfortable asking questions and getting feedback, which helps me grow in my role and complete my apprenticeship successfully.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a good level of support from Ecordia. My tutor was approachable, patient, and explains each topic clearly, which helps me understand the requirements of my qualification. I also get regular feedback on my assignments, which helps me improve my work and stay on track. Overall, the guidance and communication from my training provider have been very helpful in supporting my progress.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The knowledge I gained from Ecordia helps me perform better in my role to a great extent. It provides me with the knowledge and understanding needed for good practice in adult care, such as safeguarding, person-centred care, and communication. I am able to apply what I learn directly in my day-to-day work, which improves my confidence, decision-making, and overall performance when supporting service users

Yes, there are some extra-curricular activities available at my workplace. These include team meetings, training sessions, and occasional social activities that help build good relationships among staff such as secret Santa.
