Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Ogranising the logistics to facilitate production of VTs for The One Show. Organising travel and accomodation, managing budgets, completing paperwork, booking kit and liaising with presenters, crew and contributors to organising the filming and edit of VTs.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I was treated as a member of the team and worked in the role that I was training up for.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Yes I have learnt lots of new skills. Particularly I have learnt how to forecast costs, book kit and equipment, facilitate work for presenters, how to search for archive and upload this to an edit, and how to communicate with people over email, over the phone and in person.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I really enjoyed my placement. It was very varied and no day was the same. In my office days I enjoyed learning new things and understanding processes. I also was able to go on location and be more hands on to see how the filmmaking happens, which was always fun.
