Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On a day to day i file away orders and complete payments for subcontractors that are working on site. some days can include going out on site to take photos and counting materials, or produce measures to compare with a sub contractors application.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Its a great programme and at the completion date i will have a degree that was played for and will be a member of the RICS shortly after graduating from university.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have majorly developed my skills on a computer, using excel more and knowing all relevant formulas, to being able to use measuring software like Bluebeam. i have also developed my people skills having to call different people daily and going to speak to the subcontractors that are on site when i have a question.

The structure of the programme is set out from the start with a training matrix that will tell you what skills you should be achieving by the certain times in your apprenticeship
How much support do you receive from your employer?

i am given alot of support from my employer whether its for the workload itself or beyond that like mental health.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

i am sent on training courses reguarly that are relevant to the roll i do. these training courses are made mandatory and certain courses should be completed by certain times within your apprenticeship
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

it gives me knowledge to then put into my day to day work whether it be to do with using softwares, or people skills and ways to write emails to get the desired outcome .
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

there are a few extra curricular activities to be involved in whether its the annual trip to an adventure centre for team building or big chair mans events to hear about the achievements of the company over the past year.

its a welcoming, supportive company with a strong work drive. it also has a closer feel even when being such a big company as its family run.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Bowmer + Kirkland?
have an open mind with what roll you would like to go into. rolls have interchangeable responsibilities
