Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I planned and ran the early careers activities including running the undergraduate Familiarisation day and 3 weeks of assessment centres. The process also included shortlisting, reviewing video interviews, having briefing calls with managers and helping score on the assessment centres. I also support the co ordination of temporary and contractor workers within the business.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given a large amount of responsibility during my placement. I was able to run the process and also suggest improvements from last years recruitment process and implement these into this years recruitment cycle.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received a large amount of support from the learning and development team which helped us learn new skills which we can use in our placement and also when we go back to university.
