As a CRBA Assistant, I support day‑to‑day risk and control activities, assisting with reporting, analysis, and administrative tasks that help ensure effective business operations and compliance. Alongside this role, I am completing a Chartered Management Apprenticeship, allowing me to strengthen my management capability, apply theoretical learning in practice, and continuously develop my knowledge and skills in a real‑world environment
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I genuinely love this role—it’s incredible to work on such amazing shows, and every day brings new learning opportunities. The exposure to different areas of the business makes the role exciting and rewarding, with endless scope to grow, develop, and build new skills.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Through this role, I’ve gained a wide range of new business skills while also significantly developing my managerial capabilities. The experience has helped me grow in confidence, improve the way I work with others, and apply management learning in a practical, real‑world setting.

This programme is very well structured. The education team within the BBC and my department itself is able to liase very well to provide a great structure.

The support both professionally and personally by the BBC is the best I have ever experience. I feel very supported with everything

Aston University regularly check in and complete progress reviews to check that I am fully supported with my studies
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The training is allowing me to understand how to be more effective in my job. We are constantly reviewing how we can apply our training to stretch ourselves within our work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

The BBC provides many opportunites to join different groups. I am apart of the apprentice community that allows me to network with other apprentices all over the UK that are with the BBC. As well as women at the BBC and the Young talent network.

The opportunites for growth and development are endless. I love my job and the environment. I have got multiple people to apply now for this years intake!!!!

Please be yourself when interviewing and only apply if you have look at the BBC's values and feel like you would be able to contribute to the BBCs mission.
