First 8 months at a training centre 3 days a week, learning skills to use on the job. Then fully out on the job completing a range of tasks with different instruments, testing, calibrating, fixing and other maintenance work with one day a week for coursework

A rewarding but fairly laid back job, work is usually completed at a comfortable pace, as long as it is completed. There are high standards but you are guided through the process
