Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work in additive manufacturing and 3D printers. On a day-to-day basis i work with software such as CAD, topology optimisation, build preparation software and so on. I think of new strategies to implement into the team whether that be machines, technologies, materials and so on.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many new skills in my role. I learned how to use finite element analysis, topology optimisation, CAD, excel and data managing, programming and so on.

My qualification through my training provider helps a decent amount, as we do learn some CAD and programming but the mathematical analysis or other subsets of engineering such as electrical is not used at all
