Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
In my SMB Account Manager roleon a Level 3 apprenticeship, my role involved supporting the management and growth of a portfolio of business clients while developing core commercial and professional skills. I acted as a key point of contact for customers, building and maintaining relationships to understand their needs and ensure a positive experience with the company’s products or services. I contributed to sales activity by identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell, assisting with lead generation, and working towards team targets under guidance from brilliant management .
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my apprenticeship from the team camaraderie to working with clients every day on real world challenges that involved IT

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I developed strong communication and relationship-building skills through regular interaction with clients and internal teams. I improved my ability to identify sales opportunities and gained a solid understanding of customer needs, strengthening my commercial awareness. I also built confidence in problem-solving by handling client queries and resolving issues efficiently. This has allowed me to progress into new roles and new opportunities within HPE

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
well organised and clearly structured, providing a good balance between practical, on-the-job experience and formal learning. The programme followed a clear framework with defined modules and milestones, which made it easy to track progress and understand expectations at each stage. Regular check-ins with mentors and assessors helped ensure consistent support and guidance, while assignments and training sessions were aligned with the day-to-day responsibilities of the role.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
HPE always allowed time for me to focus on my apprenticeship work when needed and provided a good way of balancing both day role work and apprenticeship work
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I received consistent support from my training provider, Pareto, which helped guide my development throughout the programme. This included regular check-ins with an assigned coach or assessor who provided feedback on my progress, helped me prepare for assessments, and ensured I stayed on track with my coursework. Pareto also delivered structured learning sessions and resources that supported both the academic and practical aspects of the apprenticeship.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There were strong social and collaborative elements that enhanced the overall early careers experience. Regular team meetings provided opportunities to connect, share updates, and celebrate successes, helping to build a sense of belonging within the team. In addition, there were organised social activities and informal events that encouraged interaction beyond day-to-day work, making it easier to build relationships. Collaboration among early careers employees was particularly strong, with apprentices and graduates supporting each other, sharing knowledge, and creating a positive and inclusive social environment across the business.
