Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
In my role as a Project Controller Apprentice, I support the project team with planning, monitoring, and controlling project performance. On a day-to-day basis, this includes updating schedules, tracking progress against cost and time baselines, supporting reporting activities and assisting with data analysis to help inform decision-making. I work closely with colleagues across the project to ensure information is accurate and up to date, while also developing my understanding of project controls processes, tools, and best practice. I have also had a glimpse into the project management world(through shadowing) which provides a good insight for me not just looking at the project from a controls point of view. This role provides a good balance of responsibility and learning, allowing me to apply what I am studying while gaining valuable practical experience.

The work is varied and meaningful and I value the opportunity to contribute to real projects while developing my skills and confidence in project controls.
