Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My daily schedule consists of minute taking meetings with subcontractors, procuring work packages, processing invoices as well as keeping a lot of cost-related spreadsheets and trackers up to date.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I really enjoy the flexibility the job role allows, balancing being office based with daily site visits. The atmosphere within the team is extremely positive, making work enjoyable.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
With no prior knowledge of construction, in the past year I have developed my skills massively, beginning to understand why certain construction methods are used after watching progress on site.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
I have been assigned with a mentor to help me through my apprenticeship. We sit down regularly to have a review, ensuring that I am developing as well as regular sit downs with my uni mentor. My line manager also provides me with support and guidance daily.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Couldn't ask for more as my line manager gives me a variety of tasks to ensure I have a broader development of my skill set.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
We regularly get placed on training courses to assist with CPD. I think there could be slight room for improvement when it comes to university assignments, potentially talking about assignment and offering pointers to hit all target points and ensure standard is high including SPAG.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I think some of the training courses provided are of great use and work role related however some of the generic courses and their location are inconvenient.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I believe there are regular G4C events hosted by the company but I haven't attended one as of yet. I have taken part in some charity events linked with university and the local community.
