Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
As an apprentice, it is my role to develop and further my understanding of vehicle maintenance on a daily basis, whether at college or in the workplace
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt how to use hand tools and developed my problem solving skills in order to diagnose faults on vehicles.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The programme is well structured but there is currently no date in place for our final exam.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I always feel well connected and supported by JLR
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
The training provider leaves a lot to be desired. The quality of the theory lessons has deteriorated at an alarming rate and the revision resources provided for our theory assessments is lacklustre.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I need the qualification in order to work in the workshop after the apprenticeship. The theory and practical work done there contributes towards my knowledge
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I have been to lots of social events through the company such as watch parties for the racing team and I have won tickets to various sporting events in the past too.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to JLR?
There is tough aptitude testing so I'd practice some beforehand
