Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My apprenticeship course offered a variety of modules that gave a greater insight and knowledge in to management and leadership in a healthcare setting.
The leadership skills that I learnt on the programme were enlightening and have a big impact on my current role.
I also gained skills in strategy, project management and digital innovation.

The CMDA (Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship) through the MMU (Manchester Metropolitan University) was well structured and suited to my role and development.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I received excellent support through Nottingham CityCare who ensured that I was supported in continuing within my role, given flexible time to study and peer support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
MMU support was excellent through Tutors and skills coaches.
Also, there are several other well being structures in place that I did not access.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The course material was very relevant to my role and has given me a systems wide understanding of healthcare management
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
