Support the BBC in delivering best value from the licence fee within each business area. Focusing on forward looking, large scale and/or high-impact commercial and investment decisions, and support effective financial planning within their area. Working alongside Finance Business Partners delivering financial and business analysis to help solve key business problems.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

It was a fantastic experience during the scheme, gaining exposure in different areas of the company and building my professional skillset which has developed my ability throughout the course of the scheme.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

As well as becoming a CIMA member, I gained many industry specific skills. I was previously a Management Accountant also, so a Finance Business Analyst role was not completely foreign, but also suited my attributes for the role I desired. Learning new software such as Tableau has also been a key development, as well as the interpersonal skills and presenting to senior stakeholders.

Why?
It has been a tremendous experience since joining the BBC. I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenges faced and the relationships made. With several key projects which have gone to the highest level of the company which I am extremely proud of.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BBC?
It is worth researching the role you apply for, look at the job descriptions so you are best prepared for the application process and understand what steps you need to take to work towards the role.
