Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a Regional Manager in Private & Senior Healthcare, I focus on supporting my Regional teams and my frontline unit based teams with anything People related. I lead on training delivery, compliance, TUPE and ER cases. The day-to-day is very dynamic and looks very different depending on the focus, business gain or loss and internal movement, but I mostly focus on mobilising on compliance, training and working towards the people plan and staff surveys, to create a better experience for our teams.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I absolutely love my Level 7 CIPD! My tutor is wonderful and helpful, very efficient and understanding. The topics I study are actually helpful in my role and I can see how they impact my thinking and decision-making process. Since starting this programme, my vision shifted and my knowledge sharpened.

Absolutely, I've learned some new skills such as budgeting, people planning and succession, employment law and developed existing ones such as employee relations, stakeholder management and communication.

My manager is the type of manager everyone wants but only a few of us are lucky to get in our careers. I receive full support, time to study and flexibility when I need to focus on my school.

Excellent support, always notices my passion for certain topics, then gets me involved into fun little stretch challenges.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification is very relevant to my role and my future career progression, hence I can confidently say is helping me massively to develop and become a strategic partner for our people.

I'd recommend Compass Group to a friend thanks to the people I have the pleasure working with everyday. When you are at the beginning of your journey, is very important to have the right support and the right people around you, and this is what Compass is for me: my professional support system. I can have a good day and I can have a bad day, both days I will receive understanding, empathy and HELP. People makes Compass be what it is, and I'd highly recommend my friends to join me here.
