Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work as a production apprentice across BBC NI Events and music and entertainment which include daytime radio shows. I have worked a researcher and runner for TV and an ACP on radio.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I adore this job and I hope to find a job at the BBC after my apprenticeship as its been an amazing experience.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I have learnt how to work as a Radio ACP, a researcher and a runner and each of these come with loads of specific skills which are also transferrable for all media work.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Great, great LM and lots of support from learning provider and in work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

A lot, however I dont know how much support i will get to remain employed after the programme finishes.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think it works well but I also prefer learning through doing in work and learning from people in my base training me on the software that we actually use.

Yes I have been to some young talent network events and apprentice community within BBC.

The culture has been very welcoming to me as an apprentice. Folks have been so helpful and I have learnt so much.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BBC?
Make a clear list of everything you have already achieved in different activities you do and apply it to the BBC values.
