Finance Analyst Review

Working on my project for the internship.
I also attended meetings with my team to learn more about what they all do.
Expedia hold many socials so we always had sociable time with others in our team as well as all throughout the office.
The learning and leadership series held by the Early Careers Team gave me skills and opportunities to meet key leaders in the business and more of a insight to the company.

For the project I was working, I was given full responsibility. This meant that I had to reach out to stakeholders who could help me and would only use my manager as a guide if I absolutely needed. This gave me full responsibility, but I also had my manager, mentors and buddy to help me if needed.

I received a lot of support from my manager, buddy and mentors. They all helped me to make the most out of my time, but also pushed me to socialize with other interns as well as others around the office. They all made it clear that although I was there to work, I was also there to meet people and get a feel of working in an office environment.

The culture at Expedia is amazing! Everyone is so welcoming and kind; I felt welcome straight away! The office is modern with loads of different places to work depending on your needs and vibe.
The people are super nice and this was clear when us interns went to the Summer Office Social and people were saying hello and starting conversations even though we didn't know them.
A super lovely atmosphere!

I absolutely loved my internship at EG. It really gave me an idea of what career I'd like to pursue, but also let me enjoy my summer as well. The work-life balance here is great which allowed me to learn, but still go out and enjoy myself after work and on weekends without feeling guilty.
I would 100% recommend EG for an internship and would love the chance to go back after my graduation!
